Analytics: who looks at your music

See who visits your label page, releases and tracks, where they came from and where they are.

Open Sell, then Analytics. It counts every visit to your label page, your releases, your tracks and your sound packs on the store.

Picking the dates

Press Today, 7 days, 14 days, Month, 2 months, 3 months, Year or 2 years, or pick your own first and last day and press Show these dates. Every number shows how much it went up or down against the same number of days just before.

The numbers

  • Visitors: different people, each counted once.
  • Page views: every time one of your pages was opened.
  • Average time on a page: how long people stayed.
  • Plays: plays of your tracks of 30 seconds or more.
  • Sold and Your share: what sold in those dates and what you earn from it.

The chart shows page views and visitors day by day (hour by hour for one day, week by week or month by month for long dates). Point at it to read a day, or press Show the numbers for a table.

The breakdowns

Below the chart: your top tracks, releases and pages; where visitors came from (Google, Instagram, a link on another site, or typed in); the exact links that sent them; your campaigns; countries, states and cities; phone or computer, operating system and browser; languages; gender and age ranges; signed in or not; and the busiest days and hours.

Places are worked out from visitors' internet addresses, so a city can sometimes be a nearby one.

Tracking your own links

Add ?utm_campaign= and a name to a link you share, for example ?utm_campaign=summer_promo on a release link in your Instagram bio. Visits from that link show under Campaigns.

What you never see

Analytics shows totals only. You never see anyone's name, email or internet address. Gender and age come only from signed in listeners who chose to give them in their account settings. They count up to yesterday, and an answer shows only when at least ten people gave it, so nobody can be picked out.
