Track ID: find the song that is playing
Hold your phone up to the music and the store tells you what it is, and whether you can get it here.
Hear a track you like in a club, on the radio or in a mix? Press Track ID (in the menu, in the top bar on a computer, or in the tabs at the bottom on a phone).
- Allow the microphone when your browser asks.
- Hold your phone up to the music for about ten seconds.
- The store shows the song. If it is on sale here, you can play it and get it straight away. If the store does not sell it, you may get a link to hear it on Spotify.
If you are signed in, the songs you found are kept in your Track ID history so you can come back to them. You can remove any of them.
The recording is only used to find the song and is never kept. There is a daily limit on how many songs you can look up. Track ID shows only when the store has it switched on, and the store may ask you to sign in first.
