A quick guide to mixing in key
What the Camelot codes next to every track mean and how to use them.
Every track on Listnbox shows its key as a Camelot code such as 8A or 5B. The number is the position on the wheel and the letter tells you minor (A) or major (B).
The simple rules
- Same code: always safe.
- One number up or down, same letter: smooth and natural.
- Same number, other letter: a change of mood between minor and major.
Use the key filter on the Tracks page and pick "compatible" to see only tracks that mix with the one you are playing.
