Extended, radio, clean, dirty: what the versions mean
A short guide to the versions you see in the store.
Most releases come in more than one version. Here is what they are for.
- Extended Mix: the full club version with a long intro and outro for mixing.
- Radio Edit: a shorter version that gets to the hook quickly.
- Clean and Dirty: with and without explicit lyrics.
- Intro Clean and Intro Dirty: DJ versions that start with a few bars of drums.
- Acapella and Instrumental: vocals only, or everything but the vocals.
- Dub: a stripped back version with fewer vocals and more space.
